Hi, I'm a Chicago-based actor, Emmy-winning writer & producer, comedian, podcaster & host who will not be neither be writing this in third person nor picking a lane any time soon.
As the youngest child, I’ve been creating big characters and doing prat falls for attention long before I moved to Chicago to train and perform formally. I started my journey in the Chicagoland suburbs. Blessed with a very patient family who encouraged creativity, and who always kept the camcorder charged. Despite, or perhaps in response to, having a thick speech impediment until 5th grade, I found my theatrical side early – putting on faux news broadcasts and recreating Disney movies with my siblings (I was always fully off-book, I might add).
Going on to graduate from The Theatre School at DePaul University and the professional conservatory program at The Second City, I’ve never fallen out-of-love with the Midwest, or Chicago in particular.
Comedy! Ha-cha-cha
A regular in Chicago’s bustling sketch and improv comedy scene, you may have seen me onstage with/at Baby Wants Candy, ComedySportz Chicago, pH Comedy Theatre, iO Chicago, The Comedy Clubhouse, Laugh Out Loud – Chicago, The Playground, The Crowd, CIC, The Second City, and all of the other little local venues and festivals. Out of state, I’ve performed at The Pit in NYC, The Basement in ATL, & Improv Acadia in Bar Harbor, to name a few.
You can still catch me live in any number of comedy or theatre performances, just scoot on over to my upcoming shows page to see where I’ll be when.
A Podcasting Problem
It's only a problem if you admit it, right? Or something like that. I currently co-host two fabulous history podcasts. Listen, laugh and learn with me.
Shared History is a history and comedy podcast about the overlooked and underrepresented people and events from ancient to modern history. Hosted by two comedians and history hobbyists, we're 6 seasons in delivering history deep cuts.
Under the Kilt is a Scottish history podcast where Scottish actor, Adam McNamara (Black Mirror, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) and I wander the historical heather and have a blether with guests from all over Scotland.
Other Shenanigans
When I’m not playing adult make believe, I’m kickboxing, reading, or, most likely writing – for myself, for friends and for The Banditry Co., a local boutique animation studio I co-run (and have won an Emmy with, so that's neat).
