My animation/vfx studio, The Banditry Co. and I are delighted to be officially be 4x Emmy nominees (and I guess I'm officially a 5x nominee?)!
We are once again nominated for "Outstanding Achievement for Informational or Instructional" alongside our friends and collaborators at WTTW News. But this year, I am also nominated for "Outstanding Crafts Achievement for Writing" for the same project. 🥹
We received an Emmy Award for the same project and category in 2023 and were nominated in 2024 & 2025. “WTTW News Explains" is a series of animated explainer videos exploring various Chicago-focused topics. My role is as a writer and producer, punching up scripts and helping direct the visual story and future topics.
Check out the whole series and WTTW News reporting on each topic here.
