Cheers to 15+ Years of Chicago Improv

Having dove into iO's improv program when I was but an infant (read: 19 y.o.), I've had the pleasure of playing on/with a whole host of teams and organizations in my tenure in Chicago's improv scene.

I've had the good fortune of teaching classes, leading workshops (you can hire me for this!), coaching teams, and performing at various festivals across the country. I went through the requisite hungry improviser phase of saying "yes, and" to most every opportunity, but now only have the time to dedicate to a [more] select few.

Some teams have retired, some shows were limited runs, some theatres have closed, but each of these teams and opportunities hold an important place in my Chicago comedy history, and I felt they deserved a spot on the ol' website. (honestly, this is probably still not an exhaustive list)

Improv:

  • Kohl's Cash (an iO Vet team)
  • Baby Wants Candy
  • Shamilton
  • ComedySportz Chicago
  • pH Comedy (Reperatory Ensemble, Musical Ensemble, Sketch)
  • ImprovAcadia (Bar Harbor, ME)
  • Chicago Style (The Revival)
  • Laugh Out Loud (Chicago & Schaumberg ensembles)
  • Jane Bond (all femme improvised James Bond, I miss this show so much)
  • The Christmas Carols (CSz)
  • Bubbe & Zayde (CSz)
  • Missing Her Kissinger (Comedy Clubhouse)
  • Cool, Cool, Cool (indie duo)
  • Booby Trap (indie duo)
  • Win Again Finnegan (Comedy Clubhouse)
  • Barnacle (The Playground)
  • AM Radio (Seismic Improv)
  • Tilde Tilda (Coach)

Sketch:

  • Too Shabby
  • Nothing Fancy
  • Pew, Pew, Pew
  • Kill Two Birds with One Drone
  • Drinktown, USA
  • Vertigogo
  • Stank Face

Chicago is a comedy town. Everyone knows this. And I love it so much.
